An eel in a pear tree?

Arizona Aquatic Gardens would like to wish you and your family a merry Christmas Eve!  Boy, it came fast.  What did you get your loved ones?  Was it an aquarium and some fish?  If not, you should consider gifting one next Christmas.  I discussed some of the benefits in my last post.  An aquarium not only reduces stress and improves health, it also adds to the atmosphere by adding an aesthetic flare.  Imagine setting up a Christmas tree next to an aquarium!  The decorating options are truly limitless.  Aquariums make great gifts.

Aquariums are lighting up the holidaysAquariums are lighting up the holidays – literally.  The Living Planet Aquarium, in Salt Lake City, is using the feisty power of an eel to power a Christmas tree.  Mind you, the eel isn’t completely lighting the tree; it is dictating the blinking.  Nevertheless, no one’s calling the eel lazy.  The ambitious eel is a part of the aquarium’s “Journey to South America” exhibit.  It’s a cool story.  You can read about it here.  The eel and the Christmas tree – sounds like a children’s book, doesn’t it?  I should get on that.  An eel in a pear tree, perhaps?

We hope you have a safe and happy holiday.  See you in the New Year!
